Huawei Noah's Ark Lab was established in 2012 and is one of the world's leading industrial AI laboratories with offices in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, North America, and Europe. Driven by long-term, high impact projects and innovative research, we are committed to promote innovation and technological development in the AI field and provide technical support for Huawei’s products and services.

We are now looking for up to three new talents to join our Paris team of ten researchers. Preference will be given to experts of the following domains: reinforcement learning and control, multi-armed bandits, modelling physical systems, time series forecasting, AutoML, combinatorial and online optimization using ML, and transfer learning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform research on one of the preferred topics, publish high quality research results at top conferences and journals, contribute to the visibility for the lab and company in academic communities.
• Apply AI research results to real problems, provide high quality solutions for telecom networks and other engineering systems.

Qualifications and requirements:



• Must be recent PhD degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or electric engineering, obtained in 2020 or expected in 2021
• High quality publications in machine learning conferences and journals (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, KDD, JMLR)
• Strong programming skills, experienced in one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Python (preferential), C/C++, and Java
• Prioritize the RL direction
• EU citizen or permission to work in France
