Description

As a Designer II based in France in the Paris Studio, and under the direction/supervision of the City Studio Director, the role will be required to deliver against solutions that align with the EMEA Brand Marketing, Brand Communications & Brand Design goals.  You will be required to generate innovative ideas and design solutions for both 2D and 3D Design projects ranging from graphic logo work, to full retail executions, and including Event and Experience Design. You'll communicate and present design concepts to a team leader. You will need to be able to extend existing Global and EMEA campaigns in creative ways across the city, but also work within a team to create origination for bespoke local campaigns. You'll be expected to develop multiple ideas/solutions on a per project basis. You will also need to work alongside the Brand Comms manager on a design level to help support the visual needs for above the line local campaigns. You'll also be responsible for the creation of presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts, branding, and event design.

You'll develop relationships with external production vendors, from high level graphic and retouching agencies, to local manufacturing in cities across Europe. You will need to ensure quality, budgets and timelines are met. In addition, you will be expected to work closely with internal freelancers and help drive solutions to a deadline and you'll work with the design leader and category team to ensure feasibility of designs, budget, merchandising needs and overall program needs. Good communication and collaboration skills is a must.

You'll actively work to gain knowledge and experience regarding Nike's design philosophy, products and processes, trends, the consumer and overall local marketplace creative culture. The successful candidate will already have a local connection to the city’s creative network.

The work will be varied and fun, and the expectation is to be an integral part of the team creating and bringing new experiences and solutions, both digitally and physically to the Nike brand.




Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Similar
  • 4-5+ years' professional design experience
  • Proven design skills and experienced in : conception, drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, photoshoots, graphic design, spatial design, visual presentation
  • Must have proven experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. 3D software skills are a strong plus.

  • Ability to Create and clearly Articulate both a written and verbal presentation
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team
  • Willingness to travel when needed
