APPRENTICESHIP - Assistant Brand Manager Activia M/F - September 2020


Danone EDPI (Essential Dairy & Plant-based International) is the biggest business unit in the company and the biggest fresh dairy business unit in the world. Activia, as the largest global fresh dairy brand in the world and the biggest brand in Danone EDPI, is sold in more than 70 countries and in 5 continents.

Now, the Activia Global Brand Marketing team is looking for an alternant to join us together to accelerate the brand growth as Assistant Brand Manager from August 24th 2020.


As part of this position, you will be accountable for:

Manage and support marketing equity projects related to the brand equity strategy & implementation within the Activia Global Equity Team (direct report is Global Senior Brand Manager; with another brand manager in the team) with 3 key responsibilities:

  •  Collaborate actively to the equity strategy, with brand identity implementation for pack design, digital and e-commerce;
  •  Support to provide a clear understanding of consumer insights, market trends, competitor benchmarks and business performance drivers;
  •  Support transversally the entire team (equity and innovation) to manage budget that nourish growth for all the countries.




  • You will touch all the strategic perspectives for international brand equity management from brand strategy to design management, in close contact with the local brand managers of Activia from all over the world. In the morning you might be working on which design fits the best for Japanese consumers and in the afternoon, you are brainstorming how to ignite the growth by helping to reshape the search strategy in the UK.
  • You will learn how to navigate projects within a huge brand under a complex yet international context.
  • You must want to root your feet on the ground as much as you want to reach your hands to the sky as your work will be as executional as possible yet as strategic as possible the same time. You might pack and mail the final color proof for a new design to Poland and get back immediately to finish a presentation on a new Activia marketing concept that soon will be presented to the VP.

  • The candidate should have strong passion for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG/ FMCG) and brand management; and have the enthusiasm to embrace the challenges from working for the biggest fresh dairy brand in the world.
    • Fast learner with basic marketing knowledge
    • Creative, proactive thinking, and can do attitude
    • Analytical skills and strategic thinking 
    • Organizational skills, able to prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines
    • Autonomy, able to work independently and drive the project progress
    • MS office (advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point)
    • English fluent and other language(s) is a plus as you'll be working in international environment
    • High interest in food is a plus
