1. Amazon is looking for a Media Relations Manager (f/m) to support its business in France. We are looking for an experienced Communications Specialist who will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high number of diverse media queries. This role requires a high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative communications professional. The Media Relations Manager will be responsible for day-to-day running of the Amazon press office in Paris and be a key team member of the EU issues management team. While this role is based in Paris, the ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Spanish and Italian and be able to also support our teams in Italy and Spain.

Working closely with other members of the corporate team in Paris, the successful candidate will devise and implement strategies and tactics for effectively managing issues to protect and enhance Amazon's reputation. This individual will have the ability to work fast and have extensive experience in dealing with media contacts and national news desks in France. The Media Relations Manager must also have the skills to be proactive with media and generate news.

Key tasks will include:

· Managing the Amazon Paris press office including in-bound media requests and proactive media outreach

· Developing and managing the execution of strategic public relations programs to manage reactive issues in support of Amazon’s business in France

· Delivering communications counsel to internal executives on both short- and long-term challenges and opportunities

· Effectively representing Amazon as a spokesperson

· Building excellent relationships with key media and bloggers

· Liaising with the EU and the US PR and PP teams to ensure companywide communication

Creating and updating reactive and proactive communication materials

· Several years of experience working with journalists or as a journalist
· Strong understanding of French public affairs and media landscape
· Excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and writing), preferably also strong Spanish and Italian
· Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames
· Work hard and smart
· Develop creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges
· Roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it’s outside the scope of the job
· Pay painstaking attention to important details
