Description of the job

An internship offer in Business Improvement has just been opened at Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse.

You will join the Airbus Performance Management & Industrial Productivity department. One part of this department mission is to steer the Performance Management of Airbus Organization.

In line with Airbus process Manage Company Performance (MC.PI.02) the team :

  • act as performance method experts
  • deploys and runs adequate Performance Management Tools
  • manages Risks & Opportunities in regards to its trans functional overview
  • supports improving the performance in regards to customer needs.

In the frame of the department organization, the job holder supports our team interfacing with one or more Functions / Programs in Airbus perimeter. In the exercise of this interface he / she is responsible of :

  • Updating the communication means of the team
  • Supporting an efficient Performance Management project roll out which includes adequate actions, timelines, change management and management attention.

You are looking for a mandatory internship up to 6 month-long in order to validate your academic year.

Tasks & accountabilities

The expectations of the internship are as follows :

  • To drive and enable the achievement of business excellence by the application of the business improvement, based on lean and right first time lean principles, and associated methods and approaches such as Lean / Operating systems, Problem Solving and Quality Standards.
  • To develop and contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the improvement referential, and leads the transfer and coaching of improvement concepts, principles, tools & techniques, and the development of autonomy/competency in the business.
  • To measure business performance via collection, consolidation and synthesis of performance indicators
  • To manage performance through root cause analysis, risks/opportunities identification, recommendations in order to enable decision making
  • To identify/drive improvement projects to reach targeted performance
  • To support internal and external best pratices identification & sharing
  • To animate Performance Management community Intranet page

Required skills

You have the following experiences and skills:

  • Have a master degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or Economics
  • Willingness to understand organization, processes and operations
  • Ability to rapidly integrate complex context and act accordingly

  • Results oriented
  • Proactive speak up and problem solving
  • Ability to deal with unforeseen issue
  • Basic knowledge in Performance Management Methods
