You are familiar with technologies and you like to propose innovative solutions. In addition to the subjects that you will work on, you will have the opportunity to develop different skills such as teamwork, communication and project management.

An internship vacancy titled: “Internship 2019 - Connected ground test tools development (M/F)” has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

You will be part of QBGG department in charge of the Electrical Ground Test Means & Ground Test Central Function for all Toulouse FALs (Final Assembly Lines).

With a functional report to the Head of QBGGO, Ground Test operational Group, you will be part of the project connected ground test tools.

This project aims at developing new solutions to connect the electrical ground test tools to replace existing solutions based on wiring and harness.

The internships will start from January 2018 (date subject to some flexibility) and are for a duration of 4 to 6 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

As part of the project your main activities will be :

  • Prepare an inventory and categorized existing tools that can be connected.
  • Propose the possibility to connect these tools to industrial Network Airbus and ESAO (Essais au Sol Assistés par Ordinateur) system.
  • Propose architectures compliant with infrastructure rules (WiFi, BLE, 4G)
  • Define a set of requirement to connect existing tool and launch new connected tool.
  • Write associated documentation: Architecture, Communication protocol, security, protocol,…)
  • Realize a prototype, Proof of concept, to migrate an existing tool to a wireless solution.
  • Suggest a global deployment strategy (tooling prioritization depending connectivity needs)

Required skills

As a successful candidate you are in your last year of IT Engineering school (or equivalent) and demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:

  • IT
  • Network (pre requisite)
  • Communication protocol (pre requisite)
  • Internet of Things
  • Electronic
  • Labview would be a plus (for proof of concept phase)
  • French : advanced
  • English : Advanced
