Description of the jobA350XWB Aircraft embeds an Onboard Information System that enables Electronic Operations: FSA-NG (Fly Smart with Airbus - New Generation). The A350 FSA-NG is a set of embedded servers hosting various applications which are dedicated to Maintenance and Flight Operations (Aircraft real time data monitoring, Aircraft configuration management, Airline communication …).
The internship will take place within the Module Integration (MI) team which is in charge of defining and controlling the resources provided by the platform to those applications.
The objective of the internship is to help the module integrators by providing a tool with associated methodology to model basic use cases and run several simulations in less than one day.
This model will be discrete-event based and mainly composed of simple elements like sources, queue, trigger, sink, ... representing available resources on the shared platform (CPU, RAM, I/O, ...).
This internship is to be filled from 01.02.2019 (date subject to a certain flexibility)
You will be under the responsibility of a manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.
Tasks & accountabilitiesThe internship will be sequenced in 5 steps:
Step 1 - State of the art
The first step will be to make and present a state of the art of Discrete Event Simulation Technologies.
Step 2 - Elaboration of a tool short list (3 max)
The second step aims at selecting up to 3 tools with their methodologies suitable for Module Integration needs.
Note: Matlab will be part of this list in a mandatory way.
Step 3 - Development of 3 real study cases on short-listed tools
Step 4 - Final benchmark
Based on pre-defined criteria a tool and its methodology will be selected
Step 5 (Optional) - Depending on internship progress
