This company is one of the leading gas companies, and falls under the umbrella of the E.ON group. They are focusing on the Dutch market. They are always looking to recruit exceptional individuals as part of their continuous policy of internally training recruits in a wide range of skills necessary to meet the challenging energy industry requirements.

CareerNetwork currently offers a position within the trading team of this young and growing company. This position will be based in The Hague and may require some travelling in Europe after the initial training phase. Candidates are expected to advance quickly within our dynamic company.

The challenge
The business developer will be integrated in the trading department to work on new business opportunities and developments related to trading. This includes monitoring developments in the gas markets and gas transportation system. The business developer will also be managing projects, which can range from contract negotiations with other companies to membership with gas exchanges and developing new products for the trading department. The function will also include setting up and establishing business procedures with regards to communication and planning. In these projects the business developer will perform the central role.

The ideal
The ideal candidate must have obtained at least a bachelor’s degree with a technical or economical background. He or she will need strong analytical and numerical skills, be highly organized and have good planning skills. A professional approach to business and excellent communicational skills are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of flexibility in adapting to different working areas as well as the ability to keep an overview on ongoing tasks and projects.
He or she will need to be able to work independently as well as being a team player. He or she must have excellent Microsoft Excel skills, and be proficient using the Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Microsoft Project will be an advantage. Fluency in English is essential as the business language is English. Good working knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
